Membership Info

Thank you for your interest in the Seattle Chapter of The Satanic Temple.

Before contacting us directly about membership, please familiarize yourself with the material on this website and the national TST website, particularly the Seven Tenets, our FAQ, information on national TST campaigns, and the membership info below. Then you can begin the process by submitting your Membership Application.

Time Commitments

Being an active member of our chapter requires a modest time commitment. We hold our in-person meetings on the second and fourth Sundays of the month in Seattle. In addition, we ask members to help out on various campaigns and projects as needed. If you aren’t able to contribute to TST Seattle at all due to distance or schedule, you might want to consider whether another chapter (or starting your own group) might be a better fit for you.

Community Conduct

In addition to upholding the tenets and mission of the national organization, TST Seattle as a local chapter is committed to maintaining an environment of respect and support both at in-person events and online. Misogyny, transphobia, racism, anti-semitism, ableism, or bigotry of any kind have no place in TST Seattle.

We Are Activists

Cultivating and developing our culture and community of the like-minded is important to us. But make no mistake, social activism and direct engagement in the public sphere is fundamental to our mission.

New to Satanism?

You should minimally understand what TST is, and what TST is not. We are not an educational organization. We love to learn and share our knowledge with each other, but we are not here to teach you about Satanism. If you’re interested in further learning, check out TST’s Recommended Reading List

Coming from a Western LHP, esoteric, or initiatory inclination?

We are not an initiatory organization. We don’t have levels or degrees. Though we do perform a variety of rituals, they are secular and nontheistic in nature; we are not a ceremonial magic organization and ritual is not our main focus.

I am too far away to join a TST chapter; what should I do?

If you have no Chapter in your area, consider starting your own Satanic group and working towards an eventual Chapter application. Our Chapter Head has written a series of articles on how to start your own local Satanic community.

What does it cost to join?

Nothing.

Do you have an age minimum?

Because many of our events take place in 18+ spaces and deal with adult themes, you must be 18 or over to join TST Seattle.
